Vata Imbalance Support

Vata Imbalance Support

When Vata is elevated, life can begin to feel a little too fast, dry, irregular or overstimulating.

In Ayurveda, Vata is connected with movement, the nervous system, circulation, creativity and change. It can become aggravated through stress, poor sleep, rushing, irregular meals, travel, cold weather, emotional strain or simply doing too much for too long.

You may recognise signs such as feeling anxious, scattered, restless or “wired but tired”; light or broken sleep; dry skin or hair; cold hands and feet; bloating, gas, constipation or an irregular appetite.

The intention with Vata support is not to force the body to slow down, but to offer more warmth, nourishment, rhythm and steadiness.

This collection has been selected to help create grounding Ayurvedic rituals for both body and mind.

Begin With a Grounding Daily Ritual

A warm self-massage practice can be one of the most supportive rituals for elevated Vata. Our Vata Massage Oil, Bala Ashwagandha Massage Oil, Dhanvantri Massage Oil and Lakshadi Massage Oil – Black Sesame Based are beautiful options for creating a nourishing abhyanga ritual.

Use warm oil before a shower or bath, especially in the evening or during colder, drier seasons. Even a few minutes of massage over the feet, legs, lower back, shoulders and scalp can help create a greater sense of comfort and grounding.

Nourish From Within

For times when you feel depleted, overstimulated or run down, gentle nourishing rituals can also be helpful.

Our Organic Ashwagandha Powder can be added to warm milk, plant milk, porridge or smoothies. Ashwagandha Jam (Lehyam) offers a more traditional, comforting option for creating a small daily ritual of nourishment.

The Vata Essential Oil Blend can also be used to create a calming sensory ritual through gentle diffusion, inhalation or a warm bath environment.

A Gentle Reminder

You do not need to do everything at once.

Begin with one or two rituals that feel realistic for your life. For many people, a warm daily oil massage and a nourishing internal ritual are a beautiful place to begin.
