Why it is important to understand the doshas

According to Ayurveda, these experiences are often signs that one of the body's natural energies, known as the doshas, may be out of balance.

The three doshas—Vata, Pitta and Kapha—influence every aspect of our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. When they are in harmony, we tend to feel energised, resilient and at ease. When they become imbalanced, we may begin to experience symptoms such as stress, poor sleep, digestive discomfort, irritability, fatigue, low motivation, or a general sense that something feels "off".
